The Card I Couldn't Wait to Make

The fall leaves this year have been exceptionally gorgeous and I can't help but gush over them every time I go somewhere.  Running errands has never been so enjoyable!  I have been wanting to create a card that captured the beauty of fall, but I have been so busy with other things, I couldn't get to it until today.  My inspiration for this card was from this post.  I simplified the card and used markers to get the different colors on the leaves instead of sponge daubers. I loved how Wendy used gold Stickles (not a SU product) to make the leaves shimmer and I couldn't wait to try it out myself.  I think the effect is awesome, though it may be hard to see in a photo.  This isn't a card I would mass produce, as the marker coloring and gold stickle adding were a bit time-consuming, but I did make a few to send as thank-yous for my October birthday and also a birthday card to send to my grandma who is turning 91 this week!

Supplies Used
Stamps: Lovely as A Tree, Tin of Cards
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, and Chocolate Chip Cardstock
Ink: Espresso Ink pad (for greeting); Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, and More Mustard markers (for trees)
Acessories: Buttons, Gold Cording Trim

I also made another set of fall cards using the Lovely As a Tree set.  This set has been in the catalog for years and years, but I just finally purchased it this month.  I'm so glad I did because I love it!  More to come with this set being used to make Christmas cards.

Acorny Thank You

I wanted to share the cute cards we recently made at a team meeting led by Robin Merriman.  Yes, demonstrators like to go to classes too!  I love team meetings because I don't have to do any planning or prep work.  I just get to go stamp and play!

The projects at this meeting featured the new Acorny Thank You bundle found in the 2015 Holiday Catalog.

The card above and the following three cards were designed by Robin Merriman.

Yesterday, I went to another stamp class led by my direct upline, Michelle Suit, where we made another cute card with the Acorny bundle.

This last card was also made at Michelle's class.  It is not part of the bundle, but it was so darling I had to share it too!  This was made with the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.  It is now on my wish list and I predict I will be buying it soon!

September 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I have really loved the AWESOME stamp set that came in the September Paper Pumpkin kit!  I will admit I wasn't thrilled at first when I opened my box and saw that it was a kit to make treat bags instead of cards. However, the treat bags turned out really cute AND I have used the set of fifteen stamps over and over again for various projects.

Of course, I used it for cards:

I used it to make tags for various fall and Halloween treats:

These little mints were easy to decorate and I think they will be so cute on the Thanksgiving table.

I also used the "You're So Sweet" stamp to make these cute little Ghirardelli tag treats that were NOT fall themed.

And yes, I did use the set to make the treat bags as described.  They were popular at a craft fair I did and I have a couple left to share with my son's preschool teachers.  Hint: The paper did not curl for me well when I tried using the straw as instructed.  It worked much better with a bone folder.

The September Paper Pumpkin kit ended up being a winner in my book!

If you haven't signed up for Paper Pumpkin yet, you should!  It's so fun to receive your monthly kit in the mailbox!  You can order prepaid subscriptions for one to twelve months, or get a monthly subscription here.  Please choose Marsha LaFroth as your demonstrator. :)

Among the Branches Bundle

I really love the Stampin' Up bundle--Among the Branches!  This bundle is a great deal at only $21.50 for both the stamp set and the embossing folder!

I made this card at a team Inkerbelles meeting with my awesome upline leader, Michelle Suit:

Then I came home and copied the design using different colors to create these two cards:

I found this lovely card creation on this website and only tweaked things slightly:

Last but not least, I made the following Halloween cards with the bundle and the groovy new spider web doilies.  I found the ideas for these cards on Pinterest.

I have had so much fun with this bundle and can't wait to make even more products!
