Jar of Love

Today I want to highlight one of my favorite stamp sets in the Stampin' Up catalog--Jar of Love.  Strangely enough, I didn't notice this set when I first browsed through the annual catalog last year. When my friend, Erin, told me it was at the top of her list, I had to take another look.  Wow!  So many possibilities with this set for so many occasions.  If you decide to add it to your collection, be sure to get the matching framelits to go with it!
Jar Of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set
My team leader, Michelle Suit, sent me this really awesome tri-fold card using Jar of Love and the retired Fruit Stand paper.

Lemondade card supplies: Cardstock--Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White.  Ink--Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, Crushed Curry, and Versamark.  The lid was embossed with silver embossing powder.  The jar image was stamped right on the lemon paper and hand-cut (instead of die-cut so there wouldn't be an edge outside of the jar).

I did a monthly card kit with this set last summer and we made the following cards in addition to the lemonade card (most ideas were found on Pinterest).
Fish Card supplies: Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, and White cardstock and ink.  The words were embossed with white embossing powder.

Flower jar card supplies: Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock. Flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral with bottom layer "stamped off" first.  Jars and lid were stamped in Smoky Slate. Twine on the jar was stamped in Crumb Cake.  Fireflies stamped in Basic Black with Crushed Curry for the dot.  Words stamped in Versamark then embossed with white embossing powder.  Ribbon is held in place with tear tape.

For You Glimmer Jar Card Supplies: Mint Macaron, and White cardstock.  Gold Glimmer Paper.  Ink--Going Gray, Mint Macaron.

3 x 3 Lightening Bug card supplies:  Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White cardstock.  Ink--Bermuda Bay, Going Gray, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, and Calypso Coral.

I received this adorable card from a card swap last year and had to recreate it!  I wish I would have written down the name of the gal who made it:

Supplies:  Softly Falling embossing folder.  Pool Party and Shimmery White Cardstock.  DSP is from the Soft Subtles paper stack (retired now). Snow Place (retired stamp set) was used for the greeting, snowman, and snowflakes. The white pom pom trim is also retired.  The bells came from Michaels.

This is another super cute Christmas card made with the jar image. I found this design on Pinterest made by Kelly Agee and had to case it.  I plan to make it at my Christmas class in November.

Supplies:  Cable Knit Sweater embossing folder.  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, and Garden Green cardstock.  The candy images came from the retired Candy Cane Christmas DSP (punched out with 1/2" circle punch), the ribbon is also retired.  The greeting is from the Christmas Pines stamp set and the boughs were diecut with the Pretty Pines Thinlits.

I also used the jar image to make a Valentine's card last February.  It really is such a versatile set!

Colors:  Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, and Rose Red.  The first card had Crumb Cake cardstock as well.  The Valentine's greeting came from a Paper Pumpkin kit and the XOXO came from the Bloomin' Love stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these cards made with this delightful set! Please use the hostess code found on the right side bar if you decide to order this month.  If your order is $50 or more, you can get the new Winter Wonder embossing folder for free!
