Sweet Lil' Chick

Last night was a middle-of-the-night stamp session for me as I tried to decide on the projects for our upcoming Make & Take class.  I wanted to make a baby card since it's been awhile since we've made one.  I also wanted to incorporate Sale-a-bration items into the class since March is the last month to earn free SAB items.  The darling Honeycomb Happiness set was the perfect choice to meet both needs.

I recently bought the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits when they were on sale, so I was itching to try those out too.  I used the SAB Botanical Gardens vellum to make the bag.  It was difficult to see the fold lines on the vellum, and I wouldn't recommend it as your first bag to cut, but I finally figured it out! :)  The card is note card size so it will fit in the little bag that acts as an envelope.  I think it is so sweet!

The "Hello Baby" words came from the Crazy About You stamp set.  If my guests don't need a baby card, they can change the greeting to say "Happy Easter", "Hello Spring," or use the greetings that come in the set.  They can also choose to use a normal envelope instead of the vellum bag if they want to mail their card.

My inspiration for the card came from Rachel Tessman.  My inspiration for the vellum bag came from Bussy here.  Thank you!

If you have any questions about how to make this, don't hesitate to ask!

Happy Stamping!

Gift Packets

At our last team meeting, we learned how to make these nifty folder/packets out of a 12 x 12 piece of double sided designer paper.  The front of the packet looks like a card, but when you open it up, it has two pockets, one for a note card and another for a gift card.

I really fell in love with these babies and couldn't wait to make more and do a class on them.  We used the Botanicals for You Sale-A-Bration (SAB) stamp set, the new Balloon Celebration stamp set, the Balloon Bouquet Punch, and the fabulous new It's My Party designer paper from the Occasions catalog.  This paper is a must have!  All the class attendees used different designs and they all turned out darling.  We also used the the envelope punch board to make matching envelopes out of the designer paper.  So cute!

Would you like to make these?

Find great instructions on Cindee's blog by clicking HERE.

There is another great video from Patty HERE that shows how to make these folders into 3D packets that will hold 4 notecards and envelopes.  What a great gift!  I think I will make these as teacher gifts at the end of the school year.  I couldn't wait to try it out so I've already made two! :)

The first set uses the same supplies on the folder as the other packets, except I used the Itty Bitty Balloon punch instead of the large one.  I love these colors!  For the cards, I used the "Hello" SAB stamp set.  In order to fit four cards into the pockets, you really need to limit the layers and avoid using dimensionals.

For my second packet , I used the Botanicals For You SAB set again, along with the Wildflower Fields SAB designer paper, and the Flowering Fields SAB stamp set.  I am getting so many miles out of my free SAB sets and I love it!  For some reason, I can't link to these individual products, but you can see the sale-a-bration brochure HERE.

This was such a fun project.  I want to make a wedding and baby version of the gift card holder too!

Love is in the Air

This card uses the beautiful new Bloomin' Love stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.

Valentine's Day is around the corner and this sweet card is perfect for the occasion.  We will be making it at the Make & Take Class this Saturday and I would love to have you join us!  The little banner can be cut out by hand, or treat yourself to the fabulous Large Number framelits dies to die-cut it.

Supply List
Stamps: Bloomin' Love, Gorgeous Grunge
Paper: Whisper White and Pink Pirouette cardstock
Ink Pads: Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Versamark (for embossing) with Gold Embossing Powder
Other: Metallic Sequins Assortment, multi-purpose glue, gold cord (retired), Large Numbers Framelits dies

Here is another version of the card, but the words are embossed rather than the heart.

For the following card, I used the Sweetheart Punch to punch hearts out of the new Love Blossoms DSP stack.  The greeting and banner also come from the Bloomin' Love stamp set.

The following card also has hearts punched out from the Love Blossoms paper, but I used the Itty Bitty Heart punch instead.  The tree image comes from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set; the words come from And Many More greeting set.

I used the January Paper Pumpkin kit to make a banner for my fireplace and some other decorations to hang from my chandelier.

Happy Valentine's Day!
