Easy Valentine Lollipop Sleeve

Today on my Facebook Live, I showed how to make this easy sleeve to put on a Valentine lollipop.  The heart punch is retired, but you could easily use a different punch, a die, or skip making the window and just decorate the front however you like.  This treat uses very little materials and doesn't take long to put together.  It's a perfect inexpensive favor for mass production!

Here is the video:

These are the measurements in inches:

  • Real Red cardstock: 2 x 5-1/8
  • With 5-1/8 side at the top, score at 3/8, 2-3/8, 2-3/4, and 4-3/4
  • Most Adored Specialty DSP: 1-3/4 plus a 16th square
In the video, I show you how you can score and cut 4 at once if you want to make multiples.  You can keep it super simple with no greeting.

Or add a greeting.  This greeting came from Country Bouquet.  I embossed it with white embossing powder on black cardstock.

Today I also shared two new kits from Stampin' Up's Kit Collection.  The greetings and images are pre-printed and die-cut, so the cards come together super quickly.  It's a great project to do with children or new crafting friends.  Each kit is only $14 and comes with supplies to make 8 cards, 4 each of 2 designs.  Aren't the pandas so cute?

Beary Cute Hot Cocoa Pouch & Gift Card Holder

This is a project I wanted to share in December, but I didn't manage to get the post written.  Even though Christmas has passed, and the Beary Christmas products are no longer available to purchase, I wanted to add this project to the blog so I can find the measurements and instructions when I need it again!  I learned how to make this fun project from my team leader, Michelle Suit.  You can see her Facebook Live video HERE.

For this project, I used the Beary Christmas Memories & More Card Pack for most of the elements.  Because I only had one pack and we did this at our team Christmas party, I also used some of the Beary Christmas DSP to stretch the products a little further.

On the pouch below, everything came from the Memories & More pack.  The "Let it Snow" greeting was punched out of one of the 4 x 6 cards with the 2-3/8" circle punch.  The gift was cut from one of the cards as well.  No stamping on this one.

On the next pouch, I stamped the words on one of the sheets of Beary Christmas DSP.  I first stamped "Warm Wishes" in Navy Blue, then again in Balmy Blue a little to the right to get the same shadow effect that was on the MM card (shown above).  I punched it out with a 2" punch, then punched a Night of Navy layer with the 2-1/4" punch.

I thought the three following 3x4 Memories & More cards worked well for the inside back flap of the card.

Measurements & Scoring in inches for the pouch/card:

  • Start with a 8-1/2 x 9" piece of Real Red Cardstock
  • With 9" side at the top, score at 4 and 8
  • Rotate to the left once and score at 5-1/2 and 6
  • Turn the cardstock over so you are working on the backside to add the next score lines.  You want the opposite 9" side at the top (not the side you started with).  Score at 3, 3-1/2, and 8-1/2.
  • When you are done, flip it back to the other side in the position you started in.  It should look like the picture below with the dotted lines representing score lines.  Cut out the sections that have an X through them.

Measurements for Beary Christmas layers (cut from either the MM card pack or the DSP):
  • Front top piece (hidden by the hot cocoa in the photos): 3-3/4 wide by 4" tall
  • Front bottom piece: 2-1/4 wide x 3-3/4 tall
  • Inside left piece: 3-1/2 wide x 5-1/4 tall
  • Inside right: 3-3/4 wide x 5-1/4 tall
  • Add a 3 x 4 card from the Beary Cute MM pack to write your greeting
The following video shows how to put the project together once you've done the steps above.  It doesn't show how to cut it, but you can refer to Michelle's video if you need help with that part.

I thought this was such a clever way of giving a gift card and hot cocoa kit.  Like I said before, we made these at my Glitterbelle's Team Christmas party.  Here are a few photos from the party.

I love my team members! They are like extended family.  Learn more about joining my team HERE.  You don't have to run a business unless you want to!  Most of my team members are "Happy Shoppers/Hobby Demos" who simply love getting a discount and love having fun team gatherings.

Corner Fold Card with Flight & Airy Paper

It's Sale-a-bration time again!  This is Stampin' Up's biggest promotion of the year!  You can choose free SAB products with every $50 or $100 purchase.  Check them out HERE.  For today's project, I used the beautiful Flight & Airy DSP (Designer Series Paper) that you can get free with a $50 order. The birds were fussy cut right from the paper.  I got the idea for this fun fold card from a card made by Jaime Babarczy.

The measurements for the corner fold card are below.  To see how I got the triangle pieces cut just right, watch THIS VIDEO where I make the card step by step.

Corner Fold Card Measurements in inches:
  • Boho Blue card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 4-1/4
  • Pink Floral DSP: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
  • Blue DSP: 1-5/8 x 3-5/8
  • Basic White: 4 x 5-1/4 (cut 2, one for inside and one for the front)
  • Basic White: scrap to die-cut label
  • Other products: Linen Thread and Blooming Pearls
Directions:
  1. Cut your cardstock and DSP according to the measurements above.
  2. The next few steps will be easier to understand if you watch this video, but I'll try to explain in writing as well.  Measure down 2” from the top right of the card base and put a small mark with a pencil. Score from this mark to the middle score line of the card. This flap will fold over.
  3. Lay one of the white panels on the card front (without the corner folded down) leaving a 1/16” edge around top (ignore the bottom) and place a little pencil mark on the right side just above the right score line on the card base. Place another pencil mark on the top left just slightly inside the score line. Cut from one mark to the other to get your white triangle piece.
  4. Now lay that same white piece on the card front with a 1/8” edge around the bottom and sides and place a small pencil mark on the right side just below the score line. Cut from that mark to the top left corner.
  5. Take your piece of DSP that is 1-5/8 x 3-5/8 and cut from one corner to the other on the diagonal. This will give you two pieces.  You only need one for the card but can use the other to make an additional card.
  6. Attach your floral DSP to the white panel, then attach to the card front.
  7. Fold the right corner down on the score line and attach to the card front with dimensionals.
  8. Attach your triangle pieces to this folded area, first the white and then the DSP.
  9. Stamp your greeting in Boho Blue ink on the white label piece and add to the card with dimensionals on the left side (the right is already lifted because of the corner piece being on dimensionals.)
  10. Fussy cut a bird/flower image out of the DSP and glue to the corner area, being careful not to put glue on the part that goes over the edge so it won't stick to the inside of the card.
  11. Tie two strands of Linen Thread into a bow and attach to the card with a glue dot.
  12. Add Blooming Pearls to the card.
  13. Attach the white panel to the inside of the card.
  14. Optional: Cut a 1/2 strip of DSP to go inside.  You can also fussy cut more birds to go on the inside.

Below are some cards I made previously with this pattern using the Garden Walk DSP (retired now).

The greeting is from Throughout the Year.
Colors are Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, and Pretty Peacock
