World of Good Pen Holder

These pen/pencil pouches make a nice gift for both men and women!  They are really easy to make and only require a 6" x 6" piece of DSP.  You can see a video of me making these pouches HERE.  I put pens in my pouch, but I saw a very cute version of these pouches done with pencils by SallyStampers.  I think a holiday version would be so adorable!

Start with a 6" x 6" piece of DSP.  When you go to score it, make sure it is in the your trimmer right side up if your paper is directional.  Score at 1-1/2", 3", and 4-1/2".  Fold along your score lines and fold in the corners as shown below (or watch the video for easier  understanding).

This is the back side.
Put your pen or pencils inside and tie with a ribbon.  You don't seal the bottom.  If you use pencils, they peak out the bottom.

Skittles Match Books

I think I have been making variations of these matchbooks for twenty years!  I just adjust the measurements a little to suit whatever candy or item I'm putting inside.  You can see a version with a tea packet HERE.  You can give these as a party favor or make it a more substantial gift by tucking money inside.
You can see me making this favor along with some others on a Facebook video HERE.

These are the measurements:
  • Base: 3-1/4" x 7-1/2", With 7-1/2" side at the top, score at 3/4", 4-1/8", 4-1/2"
  • DSP: 2-3/4" x 3"
  • Greeting: 1" x 3-1/4", punch the ends with the Lovely Labels Punch
Fold the bottom flap up, tuck your treat inside, and staple.  Then tuck the top flap inside.  Attach a bow with a glue dot to the front to cover the staple.  I used the Flowers for Every Season DSP to make a whole bunch of these!

Scooby Snack Party Favors

Looking for a little snack to give out a pet-themed party?  These snacks are for humans rather than dogs, but of course, you could use dog treats instead.  I bought a large box of Scooby Snacks and put them in these smaller ziploc bags.
The little dogs are fussy cut from the Playful Pets Designer Paper.  You can see me making this project along with some other party favors HERE

Measurements:
  • Tag base: 2" x 10", score at 5" (I used Cinnamon Cider and Gray Granite)
  • DSP: 1-3/4" x 4" (The red polka-dot DSP came from a retired stack)
  • 2" white circle and 2 1/4" black circle (use punches or Layering Circle Dies)
  • White greeting piece: 1" x 2-1/4"
Here is the stack I made for a Pampered Pets class!

You can see a similar project with a tea bag inside instead of Scooby Snacks HERE.

Sunflower Mini Post-it Note Pouch

I love post-it notes!  I use them all the time, both as a piano teacher and in my stamping world.  Sometimes I like the regular size, and sometimes this mini size is just perfect.  I recently used the last of my sticky notes from a mini-post it note holder that was given to me as a gift over 15 years ago!  I decided it was time to make more.  These pouches made a nice little gift for attendees at our recent Celebrate Sunflowers session of Super Saturday.  I did not use the Post-It brand.  You can see the brand I bought from Amazon HERE.

Measurements and Steps:
  1. Cut Bumblebee Cardstock at 2" x 5".
  2. With the 5" side at the top, score at 1-1/2", 2", 3-1/2", and 4".
  3. Stamp the small sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set on the piece of cardstock using Bumblebee ink.
  4. Round your top and bottom corners with a corner rounder.
  5. If you want to stamp something on the inside, do it before you add your post-it notes and magnet.
  6. Fold along the score lines and glue your post-its in the middle.
  7. Cut a magnetic strip to hold it closed and attach with strong tape such as tear tape or scor-pal tape.  (I cut up magnetic vent covers from Lowes for projects like this, as well as to store my dies).
  8. Stamp the Sunflower image on a separate piece of white cardstock using Memento Black ink.  Color with Stampin' Blends--Dark & Light Daffodil Delight, Dark & Light Just Jade, and Dark Soft Suede for the center.  Die-cut and attach to the post-it pouch with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Post-it pouches are great for any season.  I love to give them to teachers.  See the big version HERE.

Mini Tic Tac Holders

I saw a picture of these adorable Tulip Mini-Tic Tac holders and I just HAD to make them.  I ordered the Mini Tic Tacs on Amazon, with the plan to make them for Easter baskets, but it took TWO months for them to arrive!  Now, this was at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, when everything got delayed.  Right now Amazon says it will only take two days.  I'm just warning you that it might take longer!  I watched a video on YouTube by a German demonstrator, Ximena Morales. I did my best to convert the metric measurements to inches.

Measurements and steps:

  • Start with a piece of cardstock cut at 1-5/8" x 3-1/2"
  • With 3-1/2" side at the top, score at 5/8", 1-1/2", 2-1/8", and 3"
  • Turn and score at 5/8" (for the bottom flap of the box)
  • To assemble, watch my Facebook Live video HERE or the video link above by Ximena.
  • Punch your tulips out of the In Color DSP.  I used Bumblebee and Magenta Madness.
  • Punch your leaves out of Just Jade cardstock.
  • I used glue to attach the leaves to the Tulip and the box.
  • I stamped "Hello" from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.
  • I tied some bows with White Crinkle Seam Binding and some bows with retired white twine.  I added them to the project with a glue dot.

That's it! Although I didn't get to use these for Easter, I still gave them out as party favors at a recent stamp class.  I've also made two variations that I can use for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  For the Thanksgiving version, I used Harvest Hellos Stamp set and Apple Builder Punch.  The Snowman version comes from the Snowman Season Stamp set and Snowman Builder Punch.  The greetings are from past Paper Pumpkin kits.

I adjusted the box size for the pumpkin to hold two mini Tic Tac boxes. I adjusted the box size for the snowman to be a little taller, but the top of his body still sticks above it quite a bit.

 Here are the alternate measurements:
The pink pox is the original size shown above.  The white box is 1-7/8 x 3-1/2.  The Tic Tacs go all the way in without the top peeking out. The third box is for the pumpkin and measures 1-3/4" x 5-1/4".  With 5-1/4" side at the top, score at 5/8", 2-3/8", 3", 4-3/4", and 5-1/4".  Then turn and score at 5/8".  The Tic Tacs will peek above the edge a little, but not much.

Happy stamping!

P.S. The supply list below is only for the Tulip version.  I posted this before I had made the alternate versions and then came back to add those today.
