Beary Cute Hot Cocoa Pouch & Gift Card Holder

This is a project I wanted to share in December, but I didn't manage to get the post written.  Even though Christmas has passed, and the Beary Christmas products are no longer available to purchase, I wanted to add this project to the blog so I can find the measurements and instructions when I need it again!  I learned how to make this fun project from my team leader, Michelle Suit.  You can see her Facebook Live video HERE.

For this project, I used the Beary Christmas Memories & More Card Pack for most of the elements.  Because I only had one pack and we did this at our team Christmas party, I also used some of the Beary Christmas DSP to stretch the products a little further.

On the pouch below, everything came from the Memories & More pack.  The "Let it Snow" greeting was punched out of one of the 4 x 6 cards with the 2-3/8" circle punch.  The gift was cut from one of the cards as well.  No stamping on this one.

On the next pouch, I stamped the words on one of the sheets of Beary Christmas DSP.  I first stamped "Warm Wishes" in Navy Blue, then again in Balmy Blue a little to the right to get the same shadow effect that was on the MM card (shown above).  I punched it out with a 2" punch, then punched a Night of Navy layer with the 2-1/4" punch.

I thought the three following 3x4 Memories & More cards worked well for the inside back flap of the card.

Measurements & Scoring in inches for the pouch/card:

  • Start with a 8-1/2 x 9" piece of Real Red Cardstock
  • With 9" side at the top, score at 4 and 8
  • Rotate to the left once and score at 5-1/2 and 6
  • Turn the cardstock over so you are working on the backside to add the next score lines.  You want the opposite 9" side at the top (not the side you started with).  Score at 3, 3-1/2, and 8-1/2.
  • When you are done, flip it back to the other side in the position you started in.  It should look like the picture below with the dotted lines representing score lines.  Cut out the sections that have an X through them.

Measurements for Beary Christmas layers (cut from either the MM card pack or the DSP):
  • Front top piece (hidden by the hot cocoa in the photos): 3-3/4 wide by 4" tall
  • Front bottom piece: 2-1/4 wide x 3-3/4 tall
  • Inside left piece: 3-1/2 wide x 5-1/4 tall
  • Inside right: 3-3/4 wide x 5-1/4 tall
  • Add a 3 x 4 card from the Beary Cute MM pack to write your greeting
The following video shows how to put the project together once you've done the steps above.  It doesn't show how to cut it, but you can refer to Michelle's video if you need help with that part.

I thought this was such a clever way of giving a gift card and hot cocoa kit.  Like I said before, we made these at my Glitterbelle's Team Christmas party.  Here are a few photos from the party.

I love my team members! They are like extended family.  Learn more about joining my team HERE.  You don't have to run a business unless you want to!  Most of my team members are "Happy Shoppers/Hobby Demos" who simply love getting a discount and love having fun team gatherings.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will enjoy making this project NEXT holiday season! LOL!  The supply list is at the bottom of this post.

Happy Stamping,
