Poppin' By Box and Gift Card Slider Card

Today I want to share two adorable projects that use the Poppin' By bundle.  This bundle is on the "Last Chance" list, which means it's only available while supplies last.  Grab it before it's gone!

You can see me make these projects on the video below.  Read on to see the measurements.  You will find a supply list at the end of this post.

I got the pattern for the box from Angie Juda at Chic' n scratch.  She has a free PDF tutorial on her website.  I decorated my box differently than hers, so you should definitely check her version out because it is super cute as well!  I took my inspiration for decorating the front of the box from a card made by Stamp with Laurie.  You can see her cute card HERE.

Poppin' By Box Measurements (in inches):

  • Real Red cardstock: 8-1/4 x 8-1/4
  • Score on one side at 3/4, 3-3/4, 4-1/2, 7-1/2
  • TURN and score at 3/4, 6-3/4, and 7-1/2
  • Cut along the score lines to make the box look like the template  shown in the photo below.  Use a corner rounder punch to get the rounded edges.
  • Striped DSP (from Turtle-y Cute pack): 2-1/2 x 5-1/2
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock: 2-5/8 x 5-5/8
  • Scraps of white, black, Real Red, and Balmy Blue for the popcorn bucket and film pieces

This box holds Pop Secret snack size popcorn (insert at a slight angle to fit).  You could also slip a movie theater gift card inside with some candy instead of popcorn.  In the video I show how I get the two colors on the popcorn bucket, along with instructions for making the 3D glasses.



Poppin' By Card Measurements (in inches):
  • Real Red cardstock: 4-1/4 x 11, score at 3-3/4 and 9-1/4
  • Garden Green cardstock (sliding pocket part): 3-3/4 x 7, score at 1/2" and 5"
  • Plaid DSP (from Lovely Garden pack): 4 x 3-1/2
  • Striped DSP (from Lovely Garden pack): 4 x 1-1/2
  • Polka Dot DSP (from Lovely Garden pack): 3-1/2 x 1-3/4
  • Basic White cardstock (front): 2-7/8 x 2-1/2
  • Basic Black cardstock: 3-1/8 x 2-3/4
  • Basic White (inside): 3-1/2 x 2-3/8
  • Basic White (greeting): 1/2 x 3-1/2 (trim after stamping)
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock: punch a 1-1/2" circle
  • Real Red cardstock: 3/8 x 2-3/4
  • Scraps of white and black for the popcorn bucket
Yes, this card has a lot of pieces!  I plan to put a movie theater gift card inside.  My son loves going to the movies and he loves popcorn, so it's perfect!
