Happy Mother's Day! Today I want to share with you a new-to-me fun fold card that I received for Mother's Day. I enjoyed it so much that I made some different versions of my own. This is the card I received from my friend, Sally.
I loved how the center greeting section popped out when I opened it. I measured the pieces in the card from Sally and made a couple of versions with the Lovely Garden paper, which is my current favorite designer series paper! You can see a video of me making the cards below.
I asked Sally what this fun-fold was called, and she said it is the "Double Decker Pop-Out Card" that she learned from Susan Campfield. I should have guessed! Susan Campfield is the queen of fun-fold cards. You can see the wonderful variations of this card she made HERE.
You can find measurements for my cards below!
The first card I made was the blue version with pink flowers. I did use some retired product on this version. First, the cardstock is Boho Blue which is sadly no longer available. I fussy cut the flowers both on the front and inside from the Lovely Garden paper. The sentiment on the front is from a new set--Blooming Phrases. The inside Mother's Day sentiment is from a retired set--Perennial Postage.
Measurements in inches:
Thick white cardstock: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4
Boho Blue (back panel): 4 x 5-1/4
Boho Blue (smaller panels): 1-7/8 x 5-1/4 (cut 2)
Basic White (inside pop-out): 3 x 4-3/4
Basic White (pop-out mechanism): 2-1/4 x 3, with 3" side at the top, score at 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2-1/4
Basic White: die-cut the fourth frame in from the Textured Notes Dies (about 2-1/4 x 3-3/4")
Boho Blue: die-cut the third frame in from the Textured Notes Dies (about 2-3/4 x 4-1/4)
Next I made a version with the green floral paper in the Lovely Garden DSP pack. The sentiments are from Unbounded Love stamp set. I fussy cut the yellow flower on the inside from Floral Delight paper.
Measurements in inches:
Thick white cardstock: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, score at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4
Garden Green (back panel): 4 x 5-1/4
Garden Green (smaller panels): 1-7/8 x 5-1/4 (cut 2)
Basic White (inside pop-out): 3 x 4-1/2
Basic White (pop-out mechanism): 2-1/4 x 3, with 3" side at the top, score at 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2-1/4
DSP (black striped on back panel): 3-3/4 x 5
DSP (polka-dot on narrow panel): 1-3/4 x 5
DSP (green floral): 2-3/4 x 3-3/4
Garden Green (mat behind green DSP): 3 x 4
I used Labeled with Love punch for the greeting piece

I hope you give this fun fold card a try! If you love this Lovely Garden paper as much as I do, I have a PDF tutorial for four other fun fold cards made with this paper (photo below). It is available to purchase HERE.
Thanks for stopping by! You can see a list of products I used below, but please remember some of the supplies are no longer available. If you click on a link and it doesn't work, that is why.
Today I am sharing with you the mini box for Hershey Nuggets once again. I have been making variations of this little box for years. It takes so few materials and is fairly easy to make. I made this Storybook Friends version for the guests at my recent craft retreat. I think they would be perfect to slip into an Easter basket, maybe with some folded up money inside for an added bonus!
You can see a video of me making this box below. I also show more features of the Storybook Friends suite collection, including what can be die-cut from the DSP and what can be fussy-cut. The measurements for the box are below.
Measurements in inches:
Start with a 6 x 6 piece of DSP (I used Timeless Plaid)
Cut 2" off one side, then take this piece and trim it into four strips measuring 1 x 3 (these will wrap around the Hershey nuggets)
Take the remaining 4 x 6 piece and score 5/8" in from all four sides
With 6" side at the top, score at 2-5/8 and 3-1/4
Fold along all your score lines and look for the side of the box that is slightly bigger than the other side. Punch a 1/2" circle on the front flap of this side to remember it is bigger and make it your box lid (shown in video)
To see how to put the box together, I recommend watching the video. You can skip to the 8:15 minute mark for that part.
I used a 2" circle punch to punch out images from the Storybook Friends DSP.
The little strip I stamped the greeting on is 3/8" tall, trimmed down to fit the word length
I made 40 of these boxes for my retreat guests. This isn't the greatest photo, but if you want to see all 40 of them, here you go! It was fun to match up the different pictures with the different plaid colors.
We also made the following fun fold card at my retreat with the Storybook Friends products. Isn't it precious? It was cased from Kim McGillis. You can find her tutorial video and other great project ideas HERE.
Following is another fun fold card we made at a recent team Shoebox Swap. My team member, Amy O'Leary, planned this fun project for our group. She found the tutorial from Susan Campfield, who is the queen of fun fold cards. You can see her samples and tutorial video for the "Side Tower Pop Up" card HERE.

It folds flat for mailing and fitting in an envelope.
The following cards are some simpler cards we made at my Bingo class a couple of months ago. If you have this paper, but not the stamps, you could easily make this card with alternate greetings.
The colors on these cards are Old Olive for the top card and Brocade Blue for the bottom card. The veggie DSP measures at 2-1/2 x 4. I decided I wanted a white mat around the strawberry DSP which measures at 2-3/8 x 3-7/8. The white mat is 2-1/2 x 4. I used a mix of Basic Beige and Basic White for the circles and greeting pieces. The little critters come from the page of pre-cut images on one of the pieces of DSP.
We will be making the following Storybook Friends cards in my online card club this month. I cased many of the ideas from Pinterest. I have two extra physical kits for this class. If you would like one, please email me at stampwithmarsha@gmail.com.
I hope this gives you a taste for the many wonderful projects you can make with this collection. I have even more projects pinned that I hope to make soon! If you would like to place an order this month, you can find my host code and free gift offering HERE.
Today I want to share with you a cute packaging idea for gifting Bath & Body Foaming Hand Soap. This is one of my favorite gifts to receive because a) I love the scents, b) it's practical and useful, and c) it won't take up room in my house because I will use it up and throw it away! Ha, ha, ha! I saw the idea and measurements for this box from Jessica Lewis at Scrap Sprinkle Crop.
I showed how to make this project on Facebook Live this week. You can see the replay on Facebook HERE (no ads), or click on the link below to watch it on YouTube:
In the summer, I made a lemon version to give to my retreat attendees with some lemon scented soap inside.
Now it's the time of year to make Christmas versions! I used Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler cardstock to match the soap I had on hand (the soap was probably bought last season). I chose Sentimental Wishes Designer Series Paper to wrap around the box. The little stars were die-cut with the Merriest Tree Dies out of More Dazzle Specialty Paper which is retired, but they would also look great cut out of Gold Foil paper.
For the Shaded Spruce version above, I used Christmas Labels bundle for the sentiment and label piece. For the Cherry Cobbler version below, I used Greetings of the Season bundle for the sentiment and tag.
Measurements in inches:
Cardstock box (Shaded Spruce or Cherry Cobbler): 7-1/4 x 10; with 10" side at the top, score at 2-5/8, 4-3/4, 7-3/8, and 9-1/2
TURN and score at 6"
Sentimental Wishes DSP: 3 x 10; score at the same marks shown above
Cut as shown in the picture below
I used Shaded Spruce 1/2" Satin & Sheer ribbon for the handles. I attached them with tear tape. You can see how I did this and how I assembled the box in the video linked above.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you give this a try. You can find a list of supplies at the end of this post.
